Crock Pot Bow Tie Casserole
Loaded with juicy ground beef and bow tie pasta, this dish will fill the stomach of the masses. With fresh spinach hidden everywhere, sneaking in some vegetables for kids is a breeze with this dish.INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 (15 o) canned simmered tomatoes
- 1 C. Oregano
- 1 C. italian seasoning
- salt pepper
- 10 oz. frozen spinach, thawed (can also use fresh spinach)
- 16 ounces. bow tie pasta, cooked
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
DIRECTIONS:
Brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Put in a slow cooker and add the sauce, tomatoes and seasonings. Cook for 6 to 7 hours over low heat. Add the last 4 ingredients during the last 30 minutes of cooking and turn the slow cooker to high. Add the fresh spinach, pasta, Parmesan cheese and 1 cup of mozzarella and mix well.
