Sticky Bun Breakfast Ring
“It's a great recipe. They are simple and delicious. In winter, I tend to keep my house warm, so I place it near a window (barely open) at night. This is what I do on Christmas morning. This is a special treat for children and I don't have to enslave myself in the kitchen ... lots of time for that later! "
ingredients
- 1 tube of Pillsbury Grands Buttermilk Cookies
- 3 c. Land O ’Lakes Butter, melted
- 1/2 C. Mrs. Buttersworth Pancake Syrup
- 1/3 C. light brown Domino sugar, packaged
- 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon McCormick
- 1/4 C. chopped Planters pecans, optional
- 1/4 C. ground Planters almonds, optional
Instructions:
- Spray a fluted pan with a non-stick spray. Combine the melted butter and syrup in a small bowl and set aside. In another bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts (if desired). Place about half of the syrup mixture in the bottom of the pan. Then sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture on top. Place the cookies on the bottom of the pan, the edges overlapping (closely together) to form a ring. Garnish with the rest of the syrup and sugar mixes. Bake at 375 degrees for about 20-25 minutes or until golden. Let cool for 1 minute in the pan, then return to a serving dish and enjoy!
